Bursary Fund

Bursary Fund

The SSSG has a Bursary Fund to assist students in financial need. Applications for assistance are reviewed by a committee that is independent of the school. The SSSG gives out close to $15,000 in bursaries every year.

How it works

Bursary assistance is dependent on the:

  • availability of bursary funds

  • the family’s financial need

  • level of commitment of the student.

Eligibility

Any SSSG student registering for the full program is eligible to apply, even first year students. The Introductory Program is not covered. In the case of new students, a letter from a school teacher, daycare provider, case worker or any other adult from outside the family who has worked with the child is required to support the application and the determine the family’s commitment to starting music lessons.
