Children’s Music Lessons - Have the right teacher…

Why does the SSSG have the BEST music teachers in the Guelph area?

When considering music lessons for your child it is important to consider many things about their potential teacher - some of which are unique to the Suzuki String School of Guelph...

 1.  Experience - our teachers have extensive experience working with all ages of children.

2.  Education - our teachers bring solid backgrounds in music education with comprehensive registered training in the Suzuki Method, the SSSG also boasts a unique number of Suzuki Approved Teacher Trainers - actively training younger teachers in the Suzuki Method.

3.  Love of Music – our teachers are professional musicians routinely performing with local Symphony Orchestras, award winning musical groups and in local events.

4.  Belief that Every Child Can - compassion is fundamental to the success of the Suzuki pedagogy and is foundational to the reality that every child can learn music - this philosophy is a one tenant of all Suzuki teachers and is unique to the Suzuki Method.

5.  Variety of Teachers - not all children connect with every teacher - having a variety of styles and personalities to choose from increases the engagement during lessons.  Having over 10 teachers at our program focusing on string instruments is unique to our area!
